Accessories in Australia, To0o expensive.. why???

hello everybody,

I'm kinda gettin my car ready for next year Perth Auto Saloon Show and I wanna represent the Yariiis well in there

lots and lots of pimping is planned but it just depends on the $$$

I've asked about airbags, and lambo doors
they are my starters

they are freakin expensive in here

for the airbag suspension, I got prices from 5-7k

for the lambo doors, the kit is 800$
and the installation is 800$ for each door
a sunroof is 2500$
importing a body kit is insanely expensive

why is this

and does anybody know a place in Perth that may give me good prices???

please help me out aussies
I'm new here and don't have enough experience

cYa guys

I am just geussing buy it may be because you are in Australia, and from what I hear it is expensive to ship items there... so things tend to be more expensive

I think I have to ship my car to Thailand and PIMP it there :D

I'm not sure what to do

I have 1 year + 2 months to get ready

Please, if any one knows a good place in Perth to do any of the mentioned stuff, tell me about it

I think that its not Perth/Australia but instead the car... more popular cars like skylines, the 180SX and Silvia's are cheaper to "PIMP". As far as I know you and me are the only 2 Yari in Perth to lower our cars... The Yaris scene is not that big here.

My plan keep my car low with wheels and start looking for a project car.

I'm not sure about that

the sound system installation prices is the same for any car

same as the lambo doors & the airbag kit

I'm sick of searching for good prices :(

we're paying high cause not alot of people are pimping their yarises

too many HOLDENS HOONS!

well as soon as the TRD Aurion comes out TRD parts should be abit cheaper & easier for us to get them

arent driver n passenger airbags standard!?

plus how much would you pay for your life? $5,000? but really even though the yaris is a small car, in the crash test it did VERY well compared with other small cars.

------------

its expensive cause they are expensive LOL (you don't see alot of lambo doors)

http://www.burnincustoms.com/

BurninCustoms were issued in the latest issue of Hot4s. The say in the article that a complete kit wil go for $2500 without shipping. Then its up to you to find a good workshop and modaway...

australia is one of the MOST expensive places to live...within the last 10 years i believe house prices went up 500%, wages stayed the same...

going through a company to get a body kit will kill your wallet.....you might as well call the manufacturer and see if they can ship it to you direct.

when ashraf said "($2490 just to fit the kit)"........ummm do it yourself.....installin sideskirts and the front bumper is hella easy....dont know about the rear...

but its australia everything is expensive. Ive noticed that we pay around 90-120 for ps3/ xbox360 games when america only pays $62 (aud converted) for theirs......

House prices went up coz of demand if there wasnt demand for it it wouldnt go up...

Obviously dual income from families would help drive the prices up... regardless of wages staying the same or not...

Gone are the days of a sole bread winner mate... its not anyone's fault just our needs is greater than demand... or their ability to provide...

I actually like the OEM kit... lol if only they offered it with the YRX when I was getting the car back then... !!!
