Voltage regulator or new Alternator?
My wife's 2013 Yaris is only charging at slightly above 12v. I had it tested and was told battery was fine but regulator in the alternator was bad.Has anyone taken one apart and replaced just the regulator? The car has 173k miles on it so i am thinking it would just be best to replace the entire unit.Or would it be ok to just replace the regulator? I have np taking it apart if so.
That being said,I am currently furloughed and trying to save where I can.Is there a brand suggested? Thanks! |
