Yaris sedan has just been launched in Indonesia - Waddya think guys?
Yaris Sedan has just been launched in Indonesia! (April 2007)
It's named "all new vios" (look at picture) I'm interested with this new model.. (i live in Indonesia) Features are HID headlights, engine start button (cool!), add on body kit, and typical safety equipments. The spoiler (look pic) is optional, but looks kinda cool, eh? The price is about 21,200 us$ (190 million rupiahs) for type G automatic. (the highest type). I'm gonna buy this car. Is the price reasonable? |

That's the most expensive dealer-sold Yaris I've ever heard of.
It has a few extra features but it's USD $9,000 more than I spent on my liftback and USD $6,000 more than the AT sport sedan sold in the U.S. That means you're bing charged around $3,000 for a body kit, $2,000 for HIDs and $1,000 for a start button. Or are all vehicle prices high in Indonesia?

Yes, vehicle taxes here are expensive..
My brother in melbourne bought a new civic for 22,300 us$, the price here is 31,200 us$. Damn corrupt indonesian government. But i got my driving license for 35 us$ without any test (i got it when i was 16). =P Also, petrol here's damn cheap, 50 cents/litre... Silly, huh? |
