Possibly for clearance issues? My GTI was like that too (Flowmaster muffler tho).

Mine is a bit shakey...has a tendency to move around a bit at idle.

See, they had to install the Flowmaster a bit crooked to clear the heat shields.

And OT, the shop told me they were going to do mandrel bends, and I never bothered to look into it, but looking back, it looks like crush bends to me??????????

thanks...its 100x nicer looking

and, because the megan sounds stock-ish when driving around normally, you cant really see i even have an exhaust if youre right behind me (as the megan doesnt have a rolled or double walled exhaust tip)

Do you think exhaust shops are able to modify the exhaust hangers so that it sits level?
Or is the actual axle-back piping welded on crooked to the muffler?

You really only need to buy rubber exhaust hangers of varying lengths to get the pipe to sit at your desired angle.
