I think that the seller threw the gasket in extra because it wasn't inside the sealed header bag.

I did a lot of searching, and BeanGarage.com had the very best price for the Weapon R, $20 cheaper than the next closest seller...

...it was only $209 with free shipping and no sales tax.

You mean these rough spots? Seems like it wouldn't be hard for WR to put a wire wheel down in there and clean it up.

Might need some sort of specialized grinding tool as those joints in the picture are about 6 inches or so up inside. Anyways, mine won't be coming coming off as it works great just as it is, and the car isn't being entered in competition.

BeanGarage.com is an authorized Weapon R merchant and carry a full line of their products. They specialize in sub compact parts and accessories. They had hands down the very best price and good service with prompt free shipping.

That looks hot, definitely a mod I want to do for my Yaris! Very clean install. Are you planning to do a cat-back as well?

Thanks. It was suprizingly straightforward. No one had listed 2012's as being applicable. I just took a chance that the relationship between the engine and downpipe would remain the same over the years, even though the design of the OEM header had changed. I wrote to BeanGarage and let them know the header fit so they could update their listings.

No. Just going to flux weld a cheap $15 twin tip onto the pumpkin muffler pipe. My wife likes it quiet.

keep us updated on the gas mileage. More low end torque is a good sign.

Gotta keep the little lady happy, cause if the missus ain't happy, no ones gonna be happy. Still, if your able an exhaust note video would be nice after. Did you find the sound changed much with the header/stock pipe combo?

That reminds me of a friend of mine who said his wife told him:

"If I'm happy... you're happy."

...and she made it sound like a threat.

I bought the car for my wife for our 20th anniversary, so even though it's her ride and she drives it more than I do, I still get the fun of pimping it out.

No change... it sounds just like before. A video would be truly unimpressive. I think it didn't make any sound difference because the stock header was just two thin stamped metal sheets welded together around the edges. So the thin header tubes aren't any louder than that already was. The biggest difference is climbing a steep hill in second gear at 2,000 to 3,000rpm. It's noticeably stronger in that range. A nice low end sweet spot. Higher rpms there isn't a noticeable difference because the rest of the exhaust system is totally bone stock.

^ It's ok, I'm glad the thread got posted and I had a chance to promote the product too.

We just got confirmation on the correct Dzuz fasteners, so I should have a few complete kits soon -- just need to go over to the aircraft hardware store -- yeah, we do have one of those.
