Well its been a fun but short stay...

Well ladies and gents,
I am sad to say i had to cancel my deposit for my yaris.
I had been waiting patiently for around a month + hoping to hear that the dealership happend to get my yaris (Black sand pearl 5sp LB)... all i got in response from them was they had no idea when they would get it. But at that time i was fine with waiting since i was borrowing my parents Subaru outback (my car was totalled about 2 months ago). Well about a week or so ago my mom was involved in a very serious accident (someone ran a red light and totalled her car as well as another). Poor poor Honda CRV... only 3 weeks old with less than 8k miles on it... At least she walked away with only "minor" burns and bruises.
Well i had to give back the outback... and as it turned out the subaru dealership called me saying they had a car i might be intrested in.... and i was. I am now the proud owner of a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. The gas mileage is nowhere near what the yaris would be unfortunately but the 250hp def beats the 103hp the yaris has I wish things had turned out differently, but i couldnt afford to wait another 3+ months or however long it would have taken to get a yaris...

I wish you all the best and will continue to check in here every once in a while...

congrats on the WRX. You should like it. Be careful they are easy to get the modding bug. I got way out of hand with my 02 WRX sedan. I do still have it and enjoy very much. Have fun and drive safe.

Yes, I too am soooo depressed, about getting my yaris. I was to drive to florida to test drive one. Thats insane I live in PA. I was told OCT, and to say a little prayer each night, because that was not a solid date... Toyota rules, but messed this time. You sould be very happy! My father was a Subaru fan for YEARS
Sry to see all the fallout from the yaris...

any hints on what the new yaris in development might have. i'd have to guess a hybrid engine. Which will then get the yaris up to 70 miles to the gallon. Toyota would be smart if they did that. Suprised they haven't said anything about a hybrid yaris yet.

if they did do that. That will be my next car. I'll keep the yaris I have now and sell my truck and get the hybrid yaris in a second.

If i was waiting on a supercar i would have been willing to wait that long myself... but this isnt a supercar by anymeans.
I have waited over a month... and would have been willing to wait had my mom not been in an accident. I was REALLY looking forward to my yaris... i am a patient person (for the most part) but since the toyota dealership somehow didnt understand the printout of the EXACT yaris i wanted and said they wouldnt be getting any of those in (even though they told me they would... idk) i guess i had been pushed back on the waiting list... i just felt screwed over... but still would have waited for my yaris. I just couldnt afford to sit around carless waiting for this alleged "yaris" that so many people have gotten...

Where do you get that the wrx has 250hp? its 227 stock and like 180-190whp unless you got an accessport with it when you got it...
