corolla XRS engine

hey guys....i know this may sound crazy or whatsoever....but its only a thought, i've been thinking for a bit lately, does the 9th gen corolla xrs engine or the 10th gen corolla xrs engine fits '07 yaris hb?? just a thought though, i know for a fact that it takes time and money but what my main question is...does it fit directly?

Whats the engine code for that engine? The only swap we know of here is the 2zz from the Celica GTS....

Isn't the XRS a 2.4L?

I thought about it also, the engine from the 04-06 XRS... it is a beast and would do wonders in a yaris.

if you're going that far, why not throw in the 4cyl from the rav-4 in there? it's got a beastly 220hp

or, why not throw in a celica GT engine in there? what's that, a 2.4 also? any way...if you're going to do all that, put in something worth it...mr2 turbo engine and trans from teh 2k plus spyders.

What year Rav4? Celica GTS has been done already, so GT can happen, no its not a 2.4, its a 1.8. 3SGTE would be a monster engine....

Now, if you really want to built a fast car, here's what you do.

At risk of being hated on... LOL

Get yourself a '03-'08 Matrix AWD. Drop the 1.8 and put in a 2.4 AWD system from a RAV4. Then turbo the sh!t out of it and call it a day. Oh, and it bolt in.

I was going to do it with a FWD RAV4 drivetrain into a Corolla when i worked at Toyota Canada, but we didn't have any with a manual transmission. So the project was scrapped. This was back before the Corolla XRS in '03. So that would have been a real sleeper.

An AWD drivetrain does not 'drop in' the Yaris...
