Auto Headlight Sensor Install Advice Requested

US 2011 Yaris hatchback owner here trying to make some feature upgrades to keep the car competitive for another ten years. :) My level of experience is novice. I replaced my stereo about 7 years ago but that's about it.

I purchased an auto headlight kit from eBay as my US model does not have auto headlights. The kit has arrived and its instructions are as vague as you may expect. I've found the Service manual which shows where the headlight dimmer switch is. Photos of both kit, manual service manual page attached.

So here are my questions:
- Which wiring diagram should I follow out of the three provided? I think the one on the top of page 4 is the right one but I wanted to confirm.

- It's looking like the connections I need to make are at the Headlight Dimmer Switch and at the parking brake switch. Is there a detailed diagram which identifies all the wires at the Headlight Dimmer switch on a single page? The service manual does not have such a guide as far as I can find.


- I'm planning to use butt/barrel connectors for joining the cables. Is that appropriate?

- How would you recommend running the sensor cable to the windshield?

- Anything I should know or keep in mind before embarking on this?
