Change ECU No DTC codes, With Crank and Fuel Pressure not starting/no Spark
hey guys, I have been trying to repair my car for the past few weeks. We had a very rainy days this past weeks here in the Phils. My car was park outside and unfortunately rain water has found its way inside the car but it was not flooded. When I tried to start the car it wasn't Starting but it has crank, so tried to figure out what was wrong. I checked the ECU and found out that rain water has damage it. I tried to test spark and fuel also, the fuel pump wasn't working but all the spark plugs produces spark. I bought a second hand ECU (tested the replacement ECU on an exact model of the car), replaced the ECU hoping it would solved the issue. When I tried to start the car with the new(replacement) ECU I notice the fuel pump noise but the car wouldn't start. I checked spark and there was none. I was wondering if it's a bad crankshaft position sensor, there are no DTC codes. The fuel pump is working, it has fuel pressure based on the OBD scantool. But somehow I lost spark. Is it safe to say that if I have fuel pumping the replacement ECU is good? And the no spark problem comes from the crankshaft sensor? Why didn't the ODB scantool pickup any troublecodes if the crankshaft sensor was faulty?
