Weird thing..my left wheel sits in more than the right
I installed 12mm hub spacers, measured both to be 12mm, thing is after i was all done i noticed that the left wheel sits in more than the right. Guess it wasnt noticeable till the wheels (15 steelies) were spaced out. I made sure that both sides fully bolted closed no gaps or anything. The only thing i have left to test is switching the rear wheels around to see maybe its the wheels offset (iono). So i cant attribute it to the spacers because they are both the same size...

Yup i checked that, ill take another look tomorrow. I installed them saturday. If i had to guess the difference in offset, id say probably ~10mm....
Whats your pre/post spacer offset? What do you think the difference in left and right for you?

If the problem isn't solved, i may be coming to SFSU to drop off my visitor enrollment paper, so i can come by your place and we can swap wheels to see with my 17s if you are having problems still....?

I have 205/50R15 +38 offset. I would say that the right wheel sticks out by about 3mm more than the left and it rubs like hell when there's passengers in the back.

Maybe 10mm was a bit much, i dont know how to really measure it, there arent really any right angles or anything. But definitely is visible difference.

Acceptable manufacturing tolerances. Pretty normal on our cars to have right to left differences. We covered this issue in a few threads way back when.

I'm hoping to get my hands on a fender roller soon, or else I'll have to remove the spacer which I really don't want to do...
or perhaps I could get the right-side spacer shaved by a few mm?

thing , and that was there comment . But they did sort of fix it , by pulling the right rear guard out . Take your rear wheels off run a tapemeasure from the gaurd lip to the back of the wheel well . you will find your 3-5mm differance between sides . |

so here is an idea... for people that are getting ready to try purchasing the spacers, why not have person measure out before and then have the set include perhaps one 12 and one 9 spacer? just an idea, i don't know about the manufacturing requirements, but it is a thought... if this cannot work, just let me know and i will remove/edit this post...

penguin garage (with the help of TK-421) discovered this when we sent out the first few sets of spacers.. if you'd ordered PG spacers instead of knock-offs they would have come with camber shims to prevent rubbing

my problem isnt rubbing im only on nf210s problem is one is just sits in more than other. Once i get home ill measure the difference to see if i need to purchase another spacer to add on.
