What the hell does Obama have to do with the price of royal purple?? Market conditions, supply & demand, wal-mart and their suppliers is what controls the price.
I picked up amsoil XL from a local garage for $6/qt. |

i used to get them for 7.99$CAD/qt they went up to 10,99$
and now, local dealers says they can't sell them because they lack of french translation. but this is bullshit, nothing states you cannot sell a product that does not have french translation labels. Law 101 is for whatever is displayed. |

My girlfriend won't like the purple tax one bit! Royal purple 2-stroke goes in the 50cc scooter (added 7-10mph on it's top speed), amsoil for the real toy

But really, these prices aren't likely to be forever permanent. After the economy stabilizes and recovers, then it'll be no big deal.

If you bought the CHEAPIST synthetic oil that has the latest ratings, and used that in your car (for example W-Marts own branded synthetic), your car will last just as long as if you used Royal Purple. RP is not a bad oil, but it is not significantly better then the cheapest you can buy. Only suckers would pay the hefty price for RP...They say they love it, yet can offer no proof, no Used Oil Analysis, nothing to show why it's "great".

I just use synthetic in the winter to make the car start easier, gone back to dino oil in the summer as the synth is expensive and any major benefits it gives on engine longevity will only be realized long after this car has been traded in for something else.

Its a Sin Tax, because We know Purple is bad for you - even if you don't. We are working on improving your education so you may know this in the near future. Now go SIN Like smoking Marlboro; cigs are like 6 bucks a pack(cough, CoUgH!)
