The Runoffs are less than a week away now - well qualifying anyway - and those that want to follow the racing action can see it live.

SCCA has live timing and scoring on its website: http://www.scca.com/event.aspx?hub=1&event=15558 This includes qualifying and race lap times.

And once again Speedcast TV will have live flag to flag coverage of every race: http://speedcasttv.com/scca/

If you follow sports car racing in North America you may have heard of the guys on the broadcast team... The biggest change will be the expansion to two announce crews. Sports car racing fans will recognize the familiar voices of veteran Runoffs announcers Greg Creamer, Dorsey Schroeder, Jim Tretow and John Bisignano throughout the broadcast. Current Runoffs racer Bart Wolf joins as the fifth member of the broadcast team and will work the booth as an analyst alongside Creamer.

Speedcast TV also uploads edited versions of the races, with in-car action added, on the website a few days after the event.

SCCA will also offer a DVD collection for sale around the first of the year.

The Yaris will hit the track for the National Championship race on Sept 25, at 2:30pm (Central). And it is very likely that because the Yaris is such an unusual car for the class it should get some good camera time.

All of our numbers are from a Dynapack (hubs), so YMMV. But it is making more HP NA than it did (from #s posted on the Tein website) with FI, and weighs 300+lbs less.

Good info here on Dynapack VS Dynojet numbers:

Still on the Goodyear 23x9.0x15 (23" dia, 10.4" wide, on a 15"x7" wheel).

I expect we will use up two sets of drys, and have a couple of sets left over with only a few laps on them.

Most of the tires we took are for the SSC Nissan, it will go out every session on fresh tires - I think we have five sets of dry tires for it.

That was with the CamCon and all the bolt-ons. Still had the stock head and cams, also had stock rev limiter.

Although as I sit here comparing before and after dyno charts we are wondering if we wasted money on cams... While we picked up a some good top end, we actually lost Tq. On fast tracks like Road America the top end is what you want, but it could hurt us at slower tracks.

everything is a tradeoff when trying to make power in a small motor.

Yep... Just not sure we made the right trade. I will find out for sure next week.

I think I would feel better about revving the piss out of this thing if it was not on a stock bottom end.

I think it's just the con-rods you need to worry about. though I've accidently over-reved my engine to 8600 and luckily it only bent some vavles. So I know it'll spin that high, but for how long
