OK........
Things like MMO and Seafoam etc added to oil do serve a purpose in removing sludge etc to an engine that has be neglected. The additive should be added to the oil and run a few miles to lossen sludge before changing the oli. However, if you change the oil regularly slude buldup etc wiil not occure to begin with and these additive serve no purpose. Modern oil already has aditives to keep your engine clean. |

I"d be more inclined to leave sludge alone as the thought of years of sludge build up suddenly circulating in my engine oil for a few miles doesnt sound like anything i would do to my engine..
