Blitz S/C a rebuilt and rebaged Toyota S/C?
I picked up an SC14 from a toyota Previa, and when looking at the Blitz S/C kits on member's Yarii, I noticed some similarities between the two.
This first picture tells it all. It looks like Blitz removed the pulley, made an extension with bearings, and cast a new intake manifold that bolts directly to the output of the supercharger. The SC12 and the SC14 are both roots type blowers. Check this thread.... http://www.microimageonline.com/foru...win-screw.html After seeing this last picture, I am betting its an SC14. 6 bolt intake pipe, 5 bolt (in rectangle shape) boost pipe. So those of you with a Blitz S/C kit are really rocking Toyota Parts!! Specs: Stock MR2 with SC12 1.6L 143Hp 140 FT LBs 8.1 C/R Previa S/C with SC14 2.4L 158Hp 190 Ft lbs 8.9 C/R I will partially dismantle my SC14 and take pics here shortly. |

its close but no cigar.
they might have modified the casting to have 6 bolt on top and 6 bolt on bottom. the previa intake tube has a bypass in it, and that is why it is 5 bolts. the tube goes over the s/c. the ecu controls the activation of the S/C in a similar way the 2zzge ecu controls lift, based on throttle position and engine load. If i had a junked blitz im sure i could get it to work on a yaris with the s/c14. Heres some measurement pics |

well nothing really. I can't afford nor justify the means of a $3500 s/c kit. Plus I am absolutely obsessed with only putting Toyota parts on my Yaris.
There might be people wondering what kind of S/C this is, or you might find a trashed s/c, and be able to replace it with an SC14, or you could make your own kit. I paid 60 bucks for this out of the junkyard, and its in pretty decent shape. with a little fab work and a belt, this could be an easy diy, you would just need a fuel controller and clutch controller, and obviously a smaller pulley... |
