I just found the price from the dealer for this option

it is 540$ just the TomTom Navi

or it can be bought in a combo with AC for 1690$

the other system Toyota GPS is for 1200$

Dang, I just checked and the US dealers don't have any info on it yet. I would spend the $540 vs. $400 from Crutchfield if it comes with the trim piece that properly fits around it.

Can you find out if it includes that? If so, maybe I'll try to order one from one of your Canadian dealers...

i believe it does as it comes as a whole radio unit.

Just spoke to the parts department - Mighty pleasant people. They are only showing the DVD Nav system for $1240, but they are going to check with Toyota and get back to me on the TomTom unit...

they will carry them , last time i was there they had the brochures and the TomTom is in there. most likely they don't have them in stock yet. But knowing Spinelli if you tell them you want it they will do their best to find it for you. Thats what they did for me when i wanted my car, they said i would have to wait 2 weeks for my car as it was in transit from Japan, but told me they will try to kidnap one from another dealr so that i can have it faster and sure enough they called me within 2 days and told me that i can pick up my car

Do a google search on "Eclipse AVN2210p" You should be able to beat the dealer prices by a bunch

Wow. That's really expensive. All it is as DanQ mentioned, is an Eclipse AVN2210P or AVN2210P mkII. You can get them now for ~$400.

If the $540 dealer price really includes the wider silver trim bezel that fits properly around the Double DIN AV2210 (as opposed to using something like the Metra kit to fill the blank space with the standard silver bezel), than I would not mind paying the $140 extra. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago talking about trying to locate the bezel that is part of the TomTom kit. So far there doesn't seem to be a part number for just the bezel.

This is what the wider bezel looks like. Compare it to a normal radio bezel and you'll notice that the radio hole is about 1/2" less wide than what comes on our cars:

If the AVN2210P could be angled more towards the driver and the TomTom Duo unit in it wasn't such a barebones GPS unit, it would be pretty nice.

I'd rather have a Garmin Nuvi mounted behind the steering wheel than a HU w/ built in GPS.

What is wrong with TomTom Duo unit ?
I have been using it in my RAV4 for over a year and I do not find it "barebone" at all. It has everything that a car GPS unit needs and works flawlessly.
Now considering to get a second one for my Yaris.



BTW, it can be angled in 15 degree increments (shown bellow at max. angle):
