Brake / Signal Light Issue
My 2008 Yaris Hatchback (178000 km) Front and Rear Right Signal Lights are turning on (not flashing) when I use my brake pedal.
First time I have seen this one - it has been below freezing here so thought that might be related but the car should have been fairly warm as I had been driving it all day. She does have an aftermarket remote start for winter installed and I put a new alternator in a few months back but I have been driving without any other electrical issues since I bought it new. Anyone Run into this or have suggestions on where to start? Relay replacement? other ideas -- I'll hopefully get some time to pull the lights tomorrow and look for anything obvious Thanks for your help PtahX Last edited by PtahX; 12-02-2014 at 10:19 PM. |

I had a similar issue on my snow plowing Yaris and it turned out to be that salt had formed a bridge in one of the taillight connectors between the brake and turn signal contacts.
