Yaris Gen3 Alarm questions
Hi,
Recently bought a Yaris Hybrid 2016 and I have some questions about the Alarm system. 1. How can I test/determine if I have an alarm? Is there a way to make it start alarming. I suspect that I have an alarm installed since there was an alarm manual (VSS 1) inside the glovebox of the car. EDIT: Solved the first question. I got a tip to open the hood, press and hold down the button that the hood holds down while closed. Lock the car while still holding it down and after 30 seconds release the button. The alarm will go off. So yes, I do have an alarm system installed. 2. If I have an alarm. Is there anyway to permanently disable the alarm? Like a switch or button or something? Thank you!
