And that's potentially what will get the GR drivetrain?

Nice looking car. Looks pretty fancy for a corolla.

Looks kinda like an A3 with one of those silly modern CUV duckbill roof spoilers. Not sure I'm sold on the looks but if it's got the G16E-GTS I'll line up with a fistful of dollars for one.

Okay, if the Corolla wagon really comes to the US....I'm going to be super mad at myself! Especially if it comes with the 6-speed manual! I recently bought the 2020 hatchback. In the e-mail survey that Toyota sends to new car buyers, I wrote that the car I really wanted was the Touring station wagon, and that I bought the hatchback as a compromise. I wonder if Toyota heard from others about wanting the station wagon. I wouldn't trade in my new Corolla, since that would be financially reckless. But man, if the Touring comes to the US, I'm going to be really mad at myself for jumping the gun! I didn't need a new car, as I still have my Yaris, I only bought my Corolla so I could learn how to drive stickshift. If I could have seen into the future and known that the Touring might come to the US, I would have waited. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I would rather drive that than the sad, fugly SUV/Crossover choices that Toyota offers in the U.S. market. That wagon also actually looks better than the Corolla hatch & it's weirdly-cut rear hatch.

Kalispel - Yeah, I'm not completely happy with the shape of the hatch, either. The Touring is better looking and would have been a more practical. And, the Touring doesn't look like the "soccer mom" station wagons of past decades. Toyota could have called it a hatchback, and Americans wouldn't know the difference. By the way, in Europe, in addition to the gas engine, it is available with as a hybrid. With the hybrid, you have a choice of either a 1.8 liter or a 2.0 liter engine.

It would look very unique in the US market.
