Swapping seats question

Granted I don't even own a Yaris, but that should change in the next week or so. I did notice on my test drive that the seats are incredibly cheap. That would be my first mod.

My question is has anyone subsituted seats from another car? Can someone measure the height of the seat (front part of driver) from the rail for me?
Thoughts?

TIA

I'd like to add to this question....does anyone know how to transfer the airbag sensor to another seat and if it's possible?

toyota celica's last gen does fit in the Echo, still the rails have to be substituted . the fact is the seat has Airbag sensors/seatbelt force sensors incorporated. as far, only celica seats have the same sensors as Echo - perhaps same as Yaris

those seats, as well as the aftermarket seats, seat the driver quite low with respect with the steering wheel

The RS seats appear to have the same contours of our seats. Do they provide any additional support or are they just better fabric?

I'm convinced that anyone who thinks their seats are uncomfortable is mistaken and it's the fact that you have to lean forward to grab the steering wheel that makes it uncomfortable. That steering wheel needs some teloscopic action.
