Question OEM Exhaust Tip Accessory

I remember seeing an oem exhaust tip accessory for the yaris at some point and i'm looking to buy one. Does anyone know where i can get one? I'm finding the nitto exhaust a little too loud for my taste, and i want to go back to the OEM muffler but with a nice shiny tip to flow nicely with the TRD rear lip. The car is a sedan if that makes a difference. Any suggestions?

Those things can be found on eBay, but they're almost 30 bucks! Just save up a bit more, and revert back to a custom axle-back.

well, to be honest i'm regretting putting the exhaust on there. not that there's anything wrong with it; its surprisingly deep for a 1.5L. Just the yaris doesn't have enough sound deadening and if i want loud i'll drive my IS300. I want to get this thing quiet again for road trips. Maybe i could just add an extra resonator to it? I might try that first.

That tip has perforations and packing inside, and reduces the noise slightly. I've got a 2007 S sedan wtihout the tip, and two 2009s with it, and the 2009s are quieter. Could also have differences inside the muffler from one year to another, of course.

^ that sounds good. I would like for it to be within 1dB of stock at idle, and within 2dB at WOT. This is a complete estimation, but my IS300 is probably within 1dB of stock at idle, and probably like 3dB at WOT. I bought all the quietest aftermarket exhaust stuff for my IS300, but there isn't too many options for the yaris.

I just installed the nitto midpipe along with the nitto axleback this morning. it's pretty quiet , but it maybe louder in a couple weeks ...

if you need the midpipe, I believe Garm have one left in stock ...hurry or you can contact alainmikli for the custom one.

this weekend i'm putting the TRDv4 on. next weekend i'm going to try putting a resonator into the nitto axle-back and see if that makes it quiet enough. if that doesn't make it quiet enough, i'm going to put on the OEM muffler and i wonder if there's a way i can fit a tip like this one it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Unive...1%7C240%3A1318

The ricer in me gets the best of me sometimes. regardless, that tip would be the perfect diameter for the cut-out on the trd rear valence.

the nitto midpipe actually makes it quieter than stock. I know becuase i had one, over a year ago. it actually makes this little 1.5L sound so deep. i dont think you could make this little motor sound any better. kinda smelly running catless, but not as bad as my IS300. the only problem is the first resonator will fail you shortly and start rattling because the head coming out of the motor melts the glass material packed around the first resonator. Also the second resonator causes the car to idle rough for some reason when you're in drive (automatics only) and waiting at the lights with the brakes depressed. I ended up having to put the factory exhaust piping back in. I will use one of the resonators and weld it into the axle back though to quiet that up.

I've got the smaller, square w/ rounded edges version of the one from Wal-Mart. Looks nice w/o looking too ricey.

Got it at PepBoys for around the same price as the Wal-Mart version.

If you end up going the stock route, hit me up and i'll dig it out...

That's exactly what i was looking for. If adding this resonator isn't quiet enough I'll message you. I'm assuming its the same accessory for the sedan and the hatchback, right? I hope it lines up with the TRD rear valence .
