viper 5901 replaced battery, crank but no start
I had to recently replace the car battery on my '10 yaris & since then the viper 5901 is unable to start the car. It cranks but never starts. Also the unlock/lock is not working either, all I hear is a click in the car but nothing happens. I did some googling, could it be something to do with immobilizer bypass? or perhaps a blown fuse?
I can start the car fine using key. Any ideas? I called the shop that installed it & they said bring it in to have it reprogrammed. Is there no way to reset at home? thanks |

You have a second module along with the Viper to do the immobilizer bypass. It sounds like that module lost its configuration. If you can find out which one was used you should be able to find the manual for reteaching it the key data (which typically involves a bit of aerobics with some combination of inserting and removing the key, tapping on the brake pedal, etc.)
