Buying a car

i'm going to buy a 3d yaris in the next 2 months and tomorrow i start my search. What prices should i expect? should i go for the S or just get the power option on the normal yaris? any recommendations would be appreciated

It all depends on what you want in your car, I went w/ the base model, I don't need power windows, power locks or any of that other nickel and dime bs.....and as others have stated on here, you can mod it cheaper than getting it on the S package...so...the ball is in your court, so to say

If you are buying the car outright without a trade in, it is easier to deal for a better price. Sell your old car first. Although 0% is being offered by Toyota it still might help to have back up financing. The "fine print" on 0% could cost you other discounts. The broader your demands are (color options) the more cars you will have to choose from and a better deal can be made. I bought mine for the newspaper sale price. Go to 2 dealers before making a decision. Look at it as a job. If you save a week or 2 wages than you have done well.

Here are somethings you should think of.

3 models are available in the US 3 door ,4 door ,and finally a 5 door.

Which is right for you?

1. Do you drive long distances on highway miles?
The s model is the only yaris with cruise control. ( unless you wanna put it on yourself. {http://www.trdsparks.com/index.php})

2. Do you have fluffy (fat) close friends?
Even though the 3 door has a lot of room but it is hard to get out of the back, me being fluffy myself.

3. Do you wanna have kids or have kids now?
3 door is not good for getting new born in and out of.

4. Get what you can afford?
Know you what money is coming in and what is going out. Know what your credit score.

happy shopping

Talking

the use of the car would be to get me from my house to school and in a year from where ever to university. cruise control i see as a luxury kind of thing so i haven't even thought about it.
I'm going to Toyota Universe dealer on Wednesday. this is the second dealer i visit
so far they have been asking too much or just have cars that are super loaded with stuff my budget can't really afford

also for the most part you can get the very basic model and buy everything separate, just on the power package to have power windows and power lock the dealer charge my brother close to 1500 and I did it myself to mine for less than 300 that's a 1200 difference and you'll see the more you buy after market and install it the more you save, fog light are a good example of that too, you can get them on ebay for about US$ 60 to 80 vs the dealer is close to US$200, you can get most (if not all) of the info you need here in order to do the install so think about that too...you can save a lot of money that way...

thank you all for all your help.
i bought my toyota yaris 4 door
I test drove it and i liked it more than the 3 door
also got an awsum deal (at least I think it is)
2.9 apr and it came out to be like a little less than 18000 with taxes and the gap and like platinum warranty (i think its called that)
i got a 08 4 door yaris black manual
power pack and a couple of fun stuff
also paid 400 less than msrp...
i'm pretty sure its a decent deal
