Out of curiosity, why do you wish to do this? Don't you want as many lights on as possible in a fog?

ok is the orange wire go all the way to the fog....also does the fog uses negative wire as the switch or is it thru the red(power) wire to turn it on??

marcus... I'm not sure what you're trying to say. By grounding the orange wire, you bypass the DRL relay and allow the fogs to be only controlled by the fog switch. The orange wire is only a switching wire, and only has a couple milli-amps flowing through it. When the circuit closes (i.e. fog switch on), it switches the fog light relay which activates the high current circuit that your actual fog lights are on. The orange wire has nothing to do with the actual current thats going to your fog lights.

Also, I'm pretty sure that this would also leave your fog lights on when you turn off the car, so you'll have to remember to shut them off every time or risk draining your battery!

got it!!!.. im actually thinkin of switching the grounding wire on fogs to headlight . so when car is on the fogs is on with 10v power running thru it "drl". when headlight is on then fog get 12v and actual headlight is controlled with the fog wire...incase of hid conversion which will be controlled by fog switch instead and you dont need to get rid of the drl...i think itll work just need to switch the fuse as well..

No, you don't. Having more lights on means more glare back at you. The idea of fog lights is having some lights down really low to the ground so it glares less.

I don't venture out of the Stereo forum often. Would somebody tell me where the DRL relay is?

I'd like to disable them; I hate not being able to turn all lights off, like when you want to keep the car running when you're parked at night.
