1 post and suspension question
I just got an 08 Toyota yaris HB. I really like the car so far and it gets amazing gas mileage ! Recently, though I've noticed a weird front suspension sound.
When I first start my car and drive it when I go over uneven pavement or a bump I hear like a crunching sound from the front end . Anyone notice this in theirs . May be my imagination but seems to be worse when cold or raining. Almost sounds like something needs to be greased? Once I drive the car a bit I don't seem to hear it. Any input would be great! |

How many miles do you have on your car?
Have you done any mods to the suspension or do you have any aftermarket wheels and/or tires? |

It has about 87,000 miles. No I haven't done anything to it.
It's just weird because once the car is warmed up it doesn't seem tO happen. Didn't know if something in suspension needs to be greased? |

I have this too but it's only when I turn left hard and it's cold. Took it to the dealer, they said they couldn't find anything wrong. 25k miles on mine.

I have had this strange noise since the very first day of the ownership of my Yaris (bought brand new in 2006), thought it has something to do with struts, but came up with idea to just ignore it and enjoy the ride!

May be the control arm bolt(s) . There's a T.S.B. for it . Our '08 sedan occasionally makes the same noise from the front passenger side on uneven surfaces ( pulling from parking lot to road , etc. ) . It also has a creak from the rear suspension of the drivers side . Will get it checked out when it's more constant .
