Scion XD : #1 for reliability in new ...

CONSUMER REPORTS . YARIS given a nod as well . May have to trade up for '09 XD . Heck at $16,925 for a automatic with V.S.C. , A.B.S. , Side/Curtain Air Bags , Cruise Control , Real Time Mileage , more room , and capable of 40 m.p.g. , why not ? Seen a '09 YARIS 4 door Liftback Sport for $17,625 , why ? . For about thousand less for 5 speed manual XD ( $16,000 or < ) , why not ? 2009 5 door SPORT at $17,600 ( manual unavailable ) , why ? .

If I was buying today it'd be a 5 speed Xd for sure. Love the looks! Much better than the Xa.

Also, for the latest Scions, head on down to Assy McGee's Scion dealership!

earlier today we test drove a '09 nautical blue XD with automatic and stabilty / traction control priced at $16,925 . We were quite impressed with it . Put it to real time miles per gallon and it read 31.4 overall . This car was brougt over 119 miles on an interstate from another SCION dealer , so the average could have been better . The tires are now DUNLOP Sport 5000 Symmetrical in place of the BRIDGESTONE Turanza . The DUNLOP are much quieter compared to the TURANZA that were on an '08 XD we drove late spring . The dealer offered us $9,600 for the 5 speed manual '08 L.B. with 13,500 miles and the XD at window sticker price . So , we said we'd think about it . They may call back on MONDAY with a better deal . The radiator fan came on at the lot of the dealer after the test drive before turning it off . Thought that was kind of odd since it was only about 48 degrees out and was mostly rural driving . Maybe its calibrated different than the YARIS ? . Would rather have one right off the truck than driven from other dealer , can't imagine how fast they went on the interstate for 119 miles . The auto shifted very smooth and the ride was slightly choppy , but not much more than both our '08 YARISes .

One good advantage of a Yaris is its electrical steering.

Does xd have that or a traitional more energy consuming and volnurable hydraulic power steering?
