aftermarket ball joint for lower applications
Has anyone been able to fine ball joints that are extended over oem so improve the roll center in lowered Yaris'?
My ball joints will need to be done down the road and I figured since I'm lowered an experience some bump steer, I'd try and source some ball joints that help correct the control arm angle. Problem is I haven't been able to find any online. Has anyone found or used an extended ball joint on their Yaris and is there any other options for us lowered yaris guys?

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...ht=ball+joints If the bump steer is what you are worried about opt for the steering links, because moving the ball joint just lowers the control arm, it does not correct the steering angle.

Did you ever run the one from the japan?
If I could get the dimensions of the oem one I'm sure there are others that would fit into a Yaris control arm that are longer and correct the roll center. Jason, are you just using the oem ball joints?

there was a company in japan called MOONFACE that made ball joint and control arm assembly for our lowered cars..
edit: here's the webpage. no more control arm. http://www.superlap.jp/item_detail/2/ they also do tie rod ends. |

I should of been more specific...the rears separated within the first year of use. So i get an occasional clunk (or slap) under very hard braking. They really do not seem to move about or go anywhere, however I feel there is improvements to be had

wow, i was/am getting a similar noise. i knew it had to be because of the bushings but i didnt know specifically what. i dont think i will be changing them though. Based on what you stated, which ones do you feel would have been ideal?

I haven't really looked around. By the design the rears are goofy AF...and even harder to figure out a better solution. Id be interested to see if SuperPro has a better design then WhiteLine. The front bushings are pretty normal and straightforward tho I have no problems with them.
