Does the Weapon install guide call for using those springs? Did they even send one?

Come to think of it I don't think I've got mine on... hmmmmm.

Like all the previous have said, this probably would not have happened if it was properly installed.

Without the springs, it isn't like the play between the header and center pipe is gone. It is still there, just without the constant push outward. I'm kind of confused myself to be honest.

the springs are to hold the pipe against the header so when the motor move's it is not trying to pick up and put down the entire exhaust system, there is movement in every direction with the springs. without springs the torquing back and forth will fatigue the metal and crack.dont blame the manufacture for your own mistakes. i have been using this for over a year and it still looks as good as the day i got it.

got it and i'm glad that yours is still in good condition!

it looks like u r an expert on this, so is it fair to ask that when fabricating a header back exhaust or turbo exhaust, the weld will not hold because of the vibrations, movements and weight of the entire exhaust system unless a spring bolt is used to bolt them on?

Another reason to buy a torque damper for the engine.

header back exhaust should always have some kind of flex joint so that the is some play.turbo is another story as alot of the manifolds are shorter and cast pieces with extra support brackets for the weight of the turbo and down pipe but after that there should be a flex joint.

have the nitto mid-pipe with the weapon r and while installing it using the oem bolt spring, the screw was all the way to the end of the treads but it still had a gap(fit was not snug) so comes the air leak!
