2010 Yaris Liftback (LB) / Hatchback - Prewired for Trunk Actuator?

I have a base (no power) 2010 Yaris Liftback. I was thinking of adding a generic solenoid or buying a stock trunk actuator.

Actuator Assembly, Back Door Lock: 69150-52070
Mounting Bolts: 91511-B0614 (2 required)

I was wondering if the 2010 Yaris was prewired for adding this feature?

I believe that it is. You can pop the rear hatch trim to be sure.

So I popped off the rear hatch cover and here is what I found.

Here is a connector that is not being used. Could this be the portal to unlocking the power of the hatch. LOL.

How does the current power trunk prop open?

Looking at this picture from Village Toyota Parts, I don't see any part that keeps the trunk propped open after the actuator unlocks it.

How do the Yaris' with power package work today? / Is there a Toyota part number for this spring loaded prop?

Its been long enough without this upgrade, I'm ready to place my order!!!

There is no popping. It simply unlocks and then you still have to press the black button in and lift it. To do full popping you would need an aftermarket actuator to pull the lever that the black button hits and a spring assist device.

How about that open connector above in the pics I posted. Would that be the connector for the actuator?

The install went very well. I love it, I have not had to use the key in the trunk since the install.

Check my remote start DIY for most of the wiring points that you need (it will all be done under the steering column).

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24860

The only ones that aren't on my DIY are the wiper. You will use the violet wiper wire on your module and connect it to the light blue wire or the yellow wire on the wiper stalk connector. The only issue is that our wiper stalk has the circuitry within it for the intermittents and separate outputs for low and high speed modes, so yellow will output when the wipers are in low or intermittent and blue when they are in high.

To make it work in both modes you could use two diodes. The white striped ends of the two diodes will both connect to the violet wire on the module and the other end of the diodes will connect one to the blue and the other to the yellow.

If you use the existing OEM wiring the hatch will unlock with the doors.

I have the base model 2007 HB with manual everything. I want to add a power lock to the hatch, but not the 2 front doors. How would this work, can I install a button somewhere on the dash to lock/unlock the hatch?

Yes. You would need a three position switch (or two separate switches) to lock and unlock it.

Cool. I understand the hatch is already pre-wired, but do you know where that wire leads?

So I just need to buy one cable actuator, and connect it to 12V, and that's it? Seems too easy. Does the key lock still function too?
