^^^Toyota (at least for the U.S.) only calls it a liftback instead of hatchback because the U.S. just has this stupid stigma that comes with them here. In the U.S. GENERALLY speaking hatches are considered "cheap," while sedans are the "in" thing. I think this mentality mostly came from the 80's when manufacturers put out not so good hatches even by 1980's standards, that's from what I heard. Where's in Canada and Europe and many other places its the opposite, hatches are the in thing. But times are changing and I know that stigma is fading, at least I hope so! Personally I love hatches! Oops! I meant liftback, sorry Someday I will have my beautiful hatch er liftback.

When I was in the US, 5 yrs ago maybe. I heard some calls it
"hatchback" and that's what I learn .. 5 dr .. 3 dr called hatchback (I am not an English speaker) But this website gives me a brand new vocab 'liftback' ... hatchback - liftback .. whatever called .. it is the same thing :P |

Nope I will not lower it But I am getting some bigger tires. I had a lowered neon and I hated the ride.
