install my MI springs last night ( '10 sedan)

initial drop from stock is 3/4" in the front & 1 3/4" in the rear...i'm hoping the front will settle

i like the ride, its a little jouncy on large gaps ( i blame the stock struts for not having enough control), but in corner handling is much improved

do you anticipate that the drop will help mileage?

^ A lowered car should get slightly better mileage.

That's way off.
Front springs are on the front, right?
Are both sides of the front the same drop?
Are the springs seated correctly and the nut tightened completely?

It looks good at that altitude with the stock wheels/wheelcovers.

I think you measured wrong. The front end looks like it came down more than 3/4 of an inch.

Oh yeah, what do you mean by "jouncy"?

Should feel pretty similar to stock I'd think?

^ um, no. The Micro Image springs are the stiffest aftermarket springs available without custom ordering.

The ride will be quite a bit firmer than stock, with much more road feel and much less body roll.

The springs are installed correctly. I can see how some could get them mixed up but they are correct...each pigtail lined up perfectly.

I should note the jouncy is just in one weird section on the highway...its.awkward for any car. I was hoping for a ride like the tercel (noticable/ taught) is but its very nice. Im quite happy with it.

I did it 1/2 for gas mileage 1/2 cuz i hated the 4x4 stance it had for pedestrian safety or w/e

I will remeasure after 500 miles...so next week lol

^ cool. A big part of the Yaris stock ride height is so the bumpers match other cars on impact.

Springs take a few days to settle in. Check the ride height in a week you will see it will have a noticeable drop.

800~ mile update

the front dropped another 3/4" bringing the grand total to 1.5" front drop & 1.75" rear drop

i really love the way the car looks now & it rides very well (given the stock struts). the ride is definetly better then expected in terms of comfort. you would not know it was lowered if you only rode in it & not saw the outside. I really like this.

I'm hoping once i upgrade the dampers, they will stiffen up the dynamics of the chassis to "sporten" up the ride...just of my racing nature.

Hands down a worthwhile upgrade for the Yaris, especially given the price.

BTW I took me just under 2 hours to install them taking my time & figuring out a wall mounted strut compressor ( i've never used one before)...& that includes taking the tray out again b/c i forgot to plug in the wiper motor. 90% of the time is spent on the fronts.
