Sorry to pump up the old thread with a question about regearing the 5th on a Yaris.
I've searched the forum but couldn't find the part numbers for the gear set to bring it down to 0.725, just info but no parts number.
I've got the C54 gearbox (according to vin and parts catalogue) on a 2006 1.3 hatchback (couldn't find the final drive ratio either unfortunately anywhere online), correct me if I'm wrong please but are the following part numbers correct for the 0.725 gearing
33428-12100
33036-12120
?
These seem to be from a 1ZZ engine corolla and should be a direct replacement ?

Thanks

Yes, those are the correct part numbers. Look at Toyodiy.com for which models in your region have those parts. I did the same swap on my C50 build and the shaft journals (diameters) are the same for the 0.815 and 0.725 ratios.

Much appreciated CrankyOldMan, thank you !

One more question, you wouldn't happen to know what final drive ratio my car is on ? Or how I could figure that out (no mention in the manual, parts catalogue, on the casing whatsoever..) ?

Thanks

You're welcome! You may be able to find the part numbers for the ring gear/pinion shaft on toyodiy.com as well if you put in your VIN/plate number. Post them here and I'll see if I can figure it out from that info.

That ring gear wasn't used in North America, so I can't confirm what ratio it was with my usual methods. I think you'd have to open the case and count the teeth to know for sure. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
