Problem with low beams and High Beams
Ok so i turned on my high beams and turned them back off and they didnt want to. When i pull back to flash my high beams the low beams turn on and when it is in the position where low beams are supposed to be on my high beams are on?? The only way my low beams are on is when i pull back. What happened? I need to fix this because now my high beams are always on.
Oh and i have an 07 Yaris Sedan |

Maybe you hooked up the low beams to the high beam wiring and vise-versa.

sell the car, count ur losses and get a 2011 supra? lol, jksjks
i had something similar happen to me but its cuz the last person to ddrive my car messed with the switch and i wasnt quite sure what was going on. lets see if i can explain this in a way ppl will understand...... the switch has a turning toggle at the end and 3 points of lateral movement..... 2 of the lateral movements are locking movements and the movement closest to the wheel is the way ud normally pull to "flash" ur highbeams. middle movement is "normal" and the furthest one just messes everything up. if the switch is in the furthest position it will act how u are saying ur lights are acting now. i really hope that helps.

The furthest position is hi beams, the normal position "'middle" is also hi beams, andonly when I pull back is it in low beams. If I pull back it sort of locks but goes back to middle on its own. Any idea what's going on or what happened? Will a regular mechanic know or will I have to take it to somewhere where they do electrical work? I would loveto find a fix on here with ur guys help but if we can't find a solution then I guess ill have to take it somewhere

Does the highbeam lever still click back and forth the way it should?
Have you modified the lights in any way? |
