Oil pan threads stripped?

Since owning this car, i've done most oil changes at home. The last two times I was lazy and took it to two different quick lube places.

I decided to do it again today and noticed the drain plug is harder to turn when you loosen it, and when u tighten it. Its nothing crazy, but usually these things spin by hand freely when you loosen the torque on them. I pulled it out a few times and I didnt notice any shavings like it was stripped.

They probably used an impact gun and cross threaded it. As long as it seals, it should be fine. If it weeps, apply a copper crush washer. My 'new to me' Kia Sedona came like that. Tight oil plug, with 'newly created' threads, again, likely from a ham-fisted tech somewhere. Never leaked and I did probably a dozen oil changes.

Toyota states 28ft/lbs torque. I haven't had a leak from the drain plug yet, and I changed the oil again last week. I used a tap and cleaned the threads up a little. Didn't see any shavings, but from now I guess I will just use my small 3/8" ratchet and forget my 1/2" ratchet
