New 08 Yaris S Sedan

Just bought a 08 Yaris S Sedan with only 26000 miles. Probably paid too much but it's as close to new as a 08 can be I guess. It has the factory arm rest but isn't quite high enough. Does anyone make an extension or bigger pad I can put on it to make it more useable? I know it's a little car, I'm just trying to make it as comfortable as possible.

Sadly, OE is about the best you can hope for regarding the armrest.

It’s little but it’s mighty!

So, did you found a good armrest extender?

Arm rest to me feels fine, 08 Yaris sedan, manual, 6'4" but two adults sharing arm rest on the small arm rest, was my fear but I was looking at the older yaris.

To make it higher up - buy some foam, figure out style and form, cover how you like. Cheap, method, easy to diy, or hunt down a shady item off ebay, a generic cheap foam pad that meets your L and W and H criteria. I would try to make the arm rest wider without impeding/poking the body/leg/hip.

If you are after Uber "comfort" get custom seats made. I know for my camper van, I took some swivel seats out of an old 70's van to put in my 90's van. The Yaris is a narrow car, but hard to find something from the junk yard or catalogue that would fit perfect. You'd have to get the foam reshaped, using the same basic seat. Costly but might be worth it if your in the car all day long, delivering food or whatever else. Comfort is key, a long road trip with no breaks for hours is the real test.

Have you considered customizing the armrest by adding foam to make it higher, or perhaps looking into aftermarket solutions for more comfort?
