Replacing 2010 Yaris

Hello,

Had a 2010 Yaris 4-door sedan which was a workhorse. This car was also built in Japan.

Unfortunately car got totaled. Now am looking at another Yaris sedan but prices seem to have gone up quite a bit and also it seems most Yaris is now re-badged Mazda.

So, why buy Yaris now?
And if one buys Yaris then which model sedan to look at?

Thanks,

Toyota's Yaris sedan is long gone, having been replaced by a Mazda. The Toyota Yaris hatchback was replaced by a Mazda more recently. But, Toyota's Mazda-based sedan and hatchback won't return for 2021.

I think if you're stuck on a new small Toyota sedan, then you're looking at the Corolla... which of course is an outstanding car!

yeah, that's a shame.

I was quite impressed with that Yaris. Other than not having remote keyless entry, it had everything else. Minimal maintenance.
