found out something cool...

one of the local dealerships has a tach option for the liftback.
Don't know the make or model but its $150 and I will try to get pics.

you can always buy a blitz or apexi meter thing that measures more than RPM.

blitz even has one that plugs into your obd sensor so you don't have to wire anything

The Apexi i-Moni is about $200. Too much for just a tachometer, imo. And it's fugly.

The Blitz R-VIT is much more advanced and is about $400. Again, if you want it just for a tach it's pretty expensive, but it'll show you essentially everything OBD can report and can record a 1/4 mile run, etc. if you're into that sort of thing.
