yeah but me.I dont care about sirrus or even streaming online, but we have a bunch of cool HD stations around here, which are free.
I have about an 8 year old conventional Pioneer head unit with it, but I've about abused this thing to death and am considering a replacement. I know Pioneer makes them in the double Din, I'm just a tightwad sometimes
And like ya say, it comes at a price. HD isnt really that popular of a feature..most folks dont really know what it is.

this here is HD Radio Ready. You probaly want a nice large screen though?

I cant really see a reason not to get a droid unit nowadays.

I bought my Yaris new in 2010. I replaced the factory system shortly after.

I built the sub box back in 2010, and it still performs admirably. The Earthquake SWS woofer is amazing.

The original Pioneer radio was awesome, but the other day the bluetooth quit working. It was time for an upgrade

I've only had this unit a few days, but I like it

Wow! Nice. I have a small 8" NVX powered sub under my passenger seat and it fills in the low end nicely. I bet your sub really kicks. What are you powering it with. Very nice enclosure, BTW.

Keep in mind that this was built 10-years ago. I just wanted a good basic system, nothing fancy. The amp is a PowerBass that is 300-watts RMS, perfect the Earthquake SWS is rated at 200-watts RMS.

The amp is under the Passenger seat

Definitely old school but it will work forever

I painted the interior today because being in lockdown is very fun... but I took a shot including the head unit. It looks much better during the night. It's the Sony XAV-AX3000. Not a close up unfortunately, it's a nice unit and I have it hooked up to some budget Pioneer speakers. Hoping to get a subwoofer, etc one day. Missing the facia dash in the pic as that's just drying up.

Hello,
Recently I installed ATOTO F7 (F7TYC7SE) on my 2015 Yaris.
It's made specifically for Toyota models having 205*104 dashboard opening. Very easy installation, plug-n-play harness included. Original steering wheel controls worked out-of-the-box. Sounds better than factory radio. HU is Linux based, not so feature rich as Android HU, but it support Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, which could cover most of your needs.
I'm plan to purchase and rear camera in near future.

for hatchback owners, theres a TON of room up under the dash just to the right of the heater behind the glove box, in fact theres enough room to mount 2 600watt amps, ive got 1 in there right now

i would assume the same space is availible for the sedan but cant say for sure

600watt unit up there with 2 hand made ultra slim boxes mounted under rear seat delete under the aluminum plate with a pair of 8s , due to the maze port design with a square port opening aimed about center of the car faceing forward, the output is ASTOUNDING..ive had multi thousand watt systems in the past with 15s 10s etc, i had one rig with 3500 wats in the 90s, and to be fair this does better than the 15inch sub box i had in my truck, with GREAT clarity

while its maginaly a single box in the fact that i kept a back brace panel connecting the boxes its 2 12x15x 7 inch boxes..yeah the are THIN but theres a diviot in the floor where the back seat would be that gives a nice pocket for the speaker face to be aimed down in as well reflecting sound to the front sides of the car kinda thru the bolster area

i built the setup as an experiment and im blown away
