I almost swallowed my tongue when I saw that woofer. It scares me. I think I'm going to go lay down in the fetal position now.

unless your batts rest at 14volts or you have a 300amp alternator you will be seeing voltage drops.... even at 3500-4000rms. Remember, amps run most efficiently when they are running near full capacity.

I talked to Rob at DC Power and it also shows on the invoice I got

1 DC Power 150/320 amp alternator

You are going to need at least 3 or 4 layers of Mat into all the interior of you Yaris, or will start to come apart!

That was my old setup with 2 12" RE SX subs before they went more mainstream with their sub lineup.

You're exactly correct. I'm gonna need tons of mat and deadening. Only thing is, that's where I ran out of $$$. I just spent over $150 on the box material. When I do get the money, maybe I'll ship the car over to you, the the "sound deadener JEDI". Lol

Starting the box

Little bit of bracing, also to help witht the weight of the magnet

Had to do a little trimming in the upper corners

Cut out the false floor

Had to cut that into three pieces to get it to fit

Put the amp in

Speaker terminals

Looks good.

You'll want more than just mat... you want to use expaning foam inside the pillars. Foam comes in a can, you spray it in, it expands, then hardens. Increasing rigidity will be more beneficial than adding weight (lowering ressonance frequency). Have to be careful with the foam tho, foam can bend the sheet metal if you are careful.
