This info is probably not much help as I am in Canada, but ........... I leased from Toyota Canada @5.5% (purchase was 3.5% at the time). This was a "Red Tag" special on remaining '06's.

Rates are really shitty right now. I got mine around 6.5%, which was typically for that day. When we bought the Prius about a year ago, it was 4.5% or so.

Bad timing right???? In Canada the rates had been terrific until recently. Of course we could have bought Hyundai or the Big 3 and got 0%, and just about every truck or SUV in Canada (even the Honda Ridgeline "Truck of the Year") has a great finance rate. Still, I'm glad I bought the Yaris.

Well, the payment on the Yaris is still about half what the payment for the Prius is, so I don't have any big complaint. If I was going to pay high interest rates, the Yaris was the one to do it on. ;)

Wow... thanks for all the replies.
I just got done calling all the dealerships within a driving distance of me. I am having a terrible time getting the Yaris LB Stick fully loaded ![]() The interest rate they all told me over the phone was 7.0% Also every dealership I called is selling the car for sticker and no less ![]() Since I am being nosy asking so many questions anyone care to give me an idea of what your payments are. I am estimating with 2 grand down around $230 a month.... Thanks for the input in advance ![]() PS. Sorry to derail thread onto other questions..... |

Picked up pretty nearly loaded 5-speed Liftback for $500 under MSRP through COSTCO auto-purchase program.
Paid cash, so never talked interest rates. We took advantage of Toyota's 2.9% on our 4Runner in Feb. Even when giving up the $1,000 discount it was an effective rate of about 4.5%. Since we are getting that, or more, on CD's right now, it was worth hanging on to our cash and dispensing it on a monthly basis. One benefit of being OLD, I guess. ![]() Lou |

Again Canadian info ........................... my Yaris 3-door RS-B 5-speed with the lowering springs intalled ($514 (Can.).......... 5 year lease (nothing down, in fact the initial payment was $100 off) $317/month including 15% GST and PST. I think the lease end payout option is $6000, but I'm not sure on that.

Can't help with finance rates, I paid cash.
I was able to get $249 off, which means I paid $557 US above invoice. That is a good deal on a just released vehicle. Getting anything off of MSRP is an achievement.

Canada here...I got 5.5% with 3 months differed payment no interest, no money down. 6 year payment to own (no lease) = 348$/month.

Hey Nick that's pretty good. I might have gone for that if it was offered. Obviously "Why?" has the right idea paying cash. That just wasn't an option for me.
