Tight Steering
Have a 02 yaris non power steering. The steering has recently stiffened and doesn't self centre. Any ideas? Thanks, Pete

it's possible the rotating bearing on top of the struts have seised. I had some go bad on mine.
To check, you can jack the front of the car off the ground and turn the wheels by hand. have a look at the springs and see if they're binding up and popping free. It's also possible you have a tear in you inner tie rod end boot, and now the steering rack is rusted or dry. |
