C-ONE CF HOOD

Hey guys, just wanted to know if there are some on this hood. It'll be a bit pricey for some folks but C-Ones products are top notch.

MSRP is 69,000 yen. It'll be roughly in mids 700 because shipping from Japan and customs.

I have 2 sources for these hoods. I can have them ship it to your house directly from Japan to save money OR buy from a distributor here in the US which will cost a little bit more.

SHow some interest first.

what is the benefit of a carbon fibre hood? is it reduced weight?
if that is the case, the yaris hood is so small to begin with, it can't be very heavy.

Do you have the FULL Weight on this hood? Does it require hood pins? if so, are the pins included?

I'm tempted to remove my hood and weigh it just to check the difference, but it can't be much more than a few pounds.

Were the vents in the hood designed on CAD? are they active induction like the Bmagic hoods? do they allow rain to enter the engine bay or are they ducted?

Carbon Fiber is more useful for the hot rod guys who have 80 lb hoods..not very helpful for Yaris / Integra owners who have 2-3 square foot hoods that probably don't weigh more than 20 lbs with the insulation / fire blanket that won't work on the C-One hood.

btw, it looks pretty pimp, though.

Not too big on the vents. It's makes the car look too busy. Any info on perhaps an OEM styled CF hood?

I dunno, our hood may be small but it's heavy for it's size. I see a couple pounds difference easy.

My opinion...here's a better way to upgrade your car's performance...go to the gym and loose some weight!

...but I guess it won't work if you're already skinny...lol

I like the looks of it however have to agree about the vents...plus i am not so sure it would look right without having the same front bumper. Just my opinion.

i love the vents. its a little pointless to get the non-vented ones. but i find the vent useful for me especially after i have the supercharger on.

haha.... actually you would probuably laugh at how much the driver's weight actually affects the car(specifically with very light cars like ours)... strip the interior, loose some weight off yourself, and put a lighter flywheel and wheels/tires and you got yourself some better performance... theoretically at least

C-one hood is now available from my supplier. Price is $790 + shipping. It'll be shipped within the US, not from Japan so it'll only take about 5 days to get to you after ordering.
