For $315.00 I could sell you an intake AND exhaust!

Simota Carbon Charger. By far.

I've seen many people reporting a drop in MPG with the weapon R. I got a 1.5MPG increase with the Simota Carbon Charger.

That is the most riduculous thing I have ever heard.

MPG goes up with many small mods that are designed correctly because you can use less throttle to acheive the same performance(higher horsepower).

If you want a long explanation I'll give it to you. But this should suffice. I've been building fourstroke engines for almost ten years and I'm certified by Dynojet to operate their dynomometers and their power commanders.

Hell, I couldn't help it, here ya go.

A properly designed(*key point) intake that increases airflow will allow the engine to operate at a higher performance level(also assuming the ECU can still manage a good air/fuel ratio). This has been proven time and time again by dynomometers. However, I will say that there is a point in performance gains where it is necessary to add more fuel than normal which leads to a loss in MPG, but this scenario is WELL beyond a simple intake modification.

Again, more power leads to an overall more efficient vehicle, keeping all other things constant, including driving habits. I'm sure you've noticed how much gas can be wasted by just the smallest increase in throttle. See what BailOut wrote about exploiting fuel mapping(which I completely believe) that falls closely with what I'm talking about. Increasing the performance of a 4 stroke engine allows you to ride in fuel mapping areas for lower throttle positions, thus saving fuel.

I'm talking about the Thunder Axle-back and the SRI...Thunder exhaust has a lifetime warranty. Individually they are more but I am always willing to make deals on multiple piece purchases.

i actually post that just for the hell of it.. raise hp lose mpg , increase mpg most cases lost of power.. and in situation of warm air going in the intake gives you better mpg but car is slower.. and vise versa with cold air intake....but if you gonna go with full details of other thing you can do to get better mpg for putting air/cold air intake on the car like driving like your granma with it then yes im sure youre right..better mgp for putting this is but whats the point right again depends on the situation of course... this comment is not meant for arguement. just my 2 cents.
