Looking for Close ratio gearbox or xb transmission

I'm looking for a close ratio Gearbox for the 1nzfe....in Canada.
I don't want to have to get one from Japan. Even and XB manual transmission would be nice.

However, I'm looking for a source in Canada.

Anyone know of anyplace?

Also, anyone know of anyplace for a great deal on a Blitz Supercharger in .....Canada?

Try a C52 box from a 20 valve 4AGE.

I got hold of a C52 box from an AE101 and unfortunately and contrary to internet rumour, they will not bolt straight into an Echo/ Vitz.
The bell housing looks like it will bolt up but the box itself is about 15mm longer than the stock C154 box I have and there is not that much clearance between the end of the stock box and the chassis rail so it would require modifications to the chassis rail to fit .
Also, the mounting point on the rear of the box is different.
It was at this point that I gave up on the idea.
One avenue that I haven't investigated yet is to see if the gearset and diff from the C52 can be swapped into the C154 housings. It will probably be Christmas before I even get a chance to strip box boxes apart to see if that is at all possible.

thanks rob

thanks rob, i'm lucky to ask you first before i try to buy that c52 box.

i've heard that TRD Thailand had successfully developed 5-speed close ratio gearbox for 1NZFE, i've already sent mail about that issue to one of TRD distributor in thai but no answer yet from them.
hope i will get good news about it from thailand.

i will inform here as soon as possible about that close ratio gearbox from thai, after i received mail from them.

thanks

Please do keep us informed. I know of the TRD final drive which was available but I think it is only about 4:1 but I haven't come across an off the shelf close ratio gear set anywhere.

if you do an xB transmission you'll have to custom build a rear mount as well as buy a set of xA shifter cables.
