Fuse Fix
Years ago there was a car called the VW Beetle (no not the new beetle) It had fuses 1) you could look at in the fuse box and see if they were blown 2) if the fuse was bad you could get it out with your fingers.
Fast forward to today. Cars are better, right? Well...maybe. But the freaking geniouses who made todays cars made them with fuses you cant get out of the fuse box! And until you get them out you cant see if theyre blown! This is better? Is it huh? Oh I know they give you a fuse puller in the fuse box but sooner or later its going to get lost and then you are SCREWED! So do this. Epoxy two fuses back to back. Now you can get the fuse in and out without a puller! I did it to the 7.5 amp ac fuse so I can turn off the ac in the winter so it does not come on when I turn on defrost. YAY! |

I suppose you could also flip over to use the other fuse as a spare. Interesting what you said about cancelling the A/C too! There's a great idea. Does the A/C even work in really cold temps anyway? I thought my '97 Saturn had a temp sensor that would prevent the A/C from coming on below a set temp...

Oh yeah when you select defrost the ac compressor cycles. Take that to the bank. Outside temp not a factor! You are in FULL AC mode at that point.
Oh yeah and the blankety blank auto transmission doesnt shift into 4 until the freaking cool engine light is out for at least 30 seconds on my car. I could shift my five speed ECHO into fifth anytime I wanted. And in the winter I NEVER got less than 36 mpg driving 6.7 miles to work. Last winter same drive with an automatic Yaris and I got around 30 overall. Sometimes 28! How can you over ride THAT insanity I do not know.... |

Not a problem they are in no way connected electrically.
