Is there a problem with the injectors? They "cleaned" the injectors on my sons Altima 1998 and it didnt do a thing.

injector cleaning

Buy a bottle of Red Line and add it into your fuel tank

Yes they did $250. My wife brought my sons car to the shop before I could stop her. One injector was bad. I found it by unplugging them one by one until I found the one that was bad.

Easy.

Owners manual sez not to use fuel or oil additives!

Dont use Stop Leak either!

I use Redline transmission oil and its excellent. But I want to clean the screens so I want to remove them. And I might want to clean the rail too...who knows how much gunk that is in there.
I cant believe that there isnt a simple injector cleaning service around here for about 25$. If someone is unemployed there is a business opportunity.Nobody cleans injectors. Todays lazy ass youth bums.

I've used BG 44k cleaner with a canister style cleaning kit. You unplug the fuel pump & hook the kit directly to the fuel line, so the engine runs off of the cleaner 100%, its very effective. I've brought back injectors that were so dirty that they were throwing misfire codes.

I like all of BG products. they are a good company. I use MOA in my oil changes, I love their penetrating oil! (In Force) I've used their product called EPR (then it was called carbon fighter) on my old engine with there oil flushing machine. it was neat! it didn't seem to do much though, since I keep my engines at the proper temperature. MOA is neat stuff though.
here's an informational that never seems to end, but has great information and a charming British accent:
