I would definitely disable the DRLs if you are going with a PnP HID kit.

I wonder if this is the real BOSCH brand. As I go to the website www.boschhid.com, it is actually a Chinese company located in China, the naming of the company is a bit confusing as well.

There are hundreds of HID brands on the market today.
After researching HID manufacturers, it turns out that there are a handful of original manufacturers that produce several different brands that are pushed on the market. The best thing to do is not look at the brand so much, but at the actual manufacturer. A couple searches on alibaba and with the public import/export development agencies that your government administers will reveal different companies with a few dozen brands.

I can't say with authority, but those may be as phony as a three dollar bill.
From what I can gather, a French company makes ballasts for Bosch and they look like this: You can buy OEM parts off of eBay. This guy: integra9006hid sells Denso ballasts, Phillips bulbs and a casper shield to reduce glare when you mount the rebased bulb in our stock projector housings. I ordered from him and was very pleased with what I got. I plan to install this weekend. I'm making up a custom harness so I don't fry my stock wiring. You should order D2R bulbs to reduce glare unless you plan to eventually retrofit projectors as I do - for that you need D2S. I just got these babies today but I need to find a spare set of headlight housings before I attempt the retrofit. |

Oh yeah...
for high beams I'm mounting a pair of PIAA's 004XT Xtreme White driving lights in the fog light position and I'm making my own Angel Eyes to go around them. |
