Definition section - with terms commonly used in the technical area
I read through the wheels section and often think "WTF are they talking about?"
Terms such as offset, spacers, etc. I know you can google about and find what these terms mean, but I think it would help fellow n00bs be able to pick up the lingo more quickly. I hang around hipointfirearmsforums.com a lot and we have a section over there for acronyms and definitions of firearms related terminology for the n00bs and it does help a lot. I think it would be a good addition, what do you guys think? |

That helps a lot. I finally know what JDM means lol. I still think it would still be good to have a definition for a lot of the real words though lol. I finally figured out what a spacer is, but I still can't figure out what offset is :(

.....offset refers to how far away from the hub the wheels face is sitting. that's the loosest term I can give you.
the more positive the offset the farther out the wheel sticks from the hub, more negative, the farther in the wheel will sit when on the hub. |

Yep, hopefully one day I'll know enough about vehicles to be able to carry on a conversation with car people haha.
Oh and I understand...everyone is a bit of an educated donkey at some point or another :P |

Well sir, since you are apparently smarter than everyone else on the planet it's obviously not a problem for you. Other than firearms, computers, and game consoles, I really have no idea about anything else; thus I need a simpler explanation than all the details from the articles on Google that I don't understand at all.
Thanks to those of you who remember what it's like not to know everything. |
