Need advise (Radiator Hose/ Thermostat Gasket)

Hi all, my 2007 yaris is 75k Miles and Today i just change oil at Local Toyota Dealer in Texas, while I wait they told me That my yaris need to change :
Drive belt $160
Thermostat Gasket $150
Radiator Hose $ 403
I tell them ok to the drive belt because the belt is look bad,

My question: on 75k Miles do I need to change the thermostat Gasket and Radiator Hose too, everything look and work fine to me?

Thank You..

Wow!!!!!! That is crazy expensive. The drive belt is under $20 and takes 10 minutes to replace, the thermostat gasket is unlikely bad, unless you see antifreeze on the floor after you park your car, and the radiator hose(s) you can see when you open the hood. They too are likely still fine.

Are you sure is was $400 for a rad hose? $150 for the Tstat is a bit high, but not obscene. $400 for a rad hose is.

yes I'm very sure..... I have the estimate paper and service delivery checklist
is showing recommended service:
radiator hoses $403.33
thermostat gasket $ 150.91
plus tax......
funny thing is my radiator hose and clamp is still look new...

maybe this one of the reason a lot people only do change oil at the toyota dealer

Eesh. That's bad.

I looked up the labour time, and it's written as 1hr for upper, and 1hr for lower so they are charging full labour for both. The thing is most of the 1hr is spent draining and filling coolant so it should be 1hr for the lower, then 0.1hr for the other hose. It's called "labour overlap" and they should be charging accordingly. Also, don't forget that they wanted to charge full labour time to do the Tstat as well. Again, most of the labour there is from the drain and fill of coolant. So guessing $250 in labour, $100 in hoses and $50 in coolant. There is the ridiculously high $400 for two rad hoses.

I would be tempted to go in and ask them about labour overlap just to see them squirm as I think it's safe to say they were trying to..... hose you.
