Yaris Hybrid Panoramic Sunroof info?

Hi all...
Been looking every where for info on the Yairs 2012 and Yaris Hyrbid Panoramic sunroofs.
My Question is do you open/close the roof manually or electronicly?

Own a yaris 2010 1.33 MMt (MMT SUCKS)
And orderd a Yaris Hybrid Style Panoramic roof. wich i will change with my old yaris.
The fun part is that Even the dealers dont know if the Panoramic roof is electronic or manual .. and there is not one single car wich i can see with the panoramic roof..

So Any Yaris owners with panoramic roofs in here?

In all of the videos of the Yaris Hybrid that I have seen thus far, if the car been shown has the sunroof, they never demonstrate opening it, nor show a switch to do so.

Yeps! Thats the problem... In all pictures and videos no one can see..
In some of the pictures so i fear that its a manual operation (WIch would suck since its 2012 :) and the car cost me 210.000 Swedish kr)

The panoramic roof is fixed. It has a power retractable shade, but the glass does not open or vent in any way.

It is apparently standard on the Lounge and Active trim grades.

OK. That's what I was thinking from the pictures that I have seen. It starts too close to the windshield to have a frame that would allow it to be opened.

This is also what is implied by the description of the panoramic roof option on the Prius V Five on Toyota's US website.....perhaps the same (or scaled down and otherwise tweaked if necessary) as the European Yaris Hybrid Panoramic Sunroof? The US spec Prius C Three has an optional power tilt/slide moonroof.

The roof is damn cool though. Wish we would have at least gotten a moonroof option a-la Prius C, here is North America..

At least in Germany the sunroof is available for Club and Executive lines but is not part of the Lounge trim.

You'd need to pay an extra 600 Euros to get it............

Not sure about other countries though.

Have you thought about a canvas retractable sunroof?
I installed one in a van about twenty yrs. ago.

Must have (truly) been a pretty cool van.....but on a Yaris I would think it could potentially clobber MPG re raising the drag coefficient.

I just a minute ago viewed enviri's picture of the Fiat 500c on the 'what to do with Crashy #2' thread. The extra drag from the 'accordian' part of that type of roof would likely be reduced if it could be set up like the Fiat .
