New shift knob
A late Christmas present from my oldest boy. A white Delrin shift knob. I'm told these are the shizz right now and I have to admit it does the job very well.
Sadly, the threads were too low in the body, and there was about a 1" gap above the top of the boot. Happily, I have a wood lathe and a bunch of scrap in the basement, and was able to turn up a canary-wood spacer to suit. |

Delrin is cool stuff. I'd love to have a Delrin knob but haven't seen a screw on one in 8 x 1.25 thread yet

This one was custom-made for me. I can get the address if you like. (I believe it's a 12 x 1.25 thread. Anyone?)

I think that was the model he was using.
All I can say is that it feels great. For most shifts it might as well be a sphere on there. |

very nice, you should engrave the shift pattern on there in black.

I do indeed have a derlin knob. Mine is more like a "type R" knob though.
Saildesign, looks good man. I like the wood accent too! |
